Family Friendly

Making spaces that fit for the ENTIRE family can be challenging at times.

Durability: Can the space handle the daily use and sometimes abuse that it gets? From marker doodles to wine stains, often our living spaces need to be ready to withstand some hard use. The durability of the fabrics, carpet, rugs and furniture is key in making sure it is a space friendly for the entire family. Rounder edges tend to shy away from the chipped and worn edges that happen with furniture use overtime. Fabrics that are cleanable and repel stains and soils are becoming more available. They make a difference in your comfort of use of space, because cleaning up is much less stressful.

Safety: Making sure that spaces that are used by all family members is safe has become more critical. Not just little toddlers, but also senior family members. Minimizing sharper edges and used softer rounder edges assist in a space being safer. Eliminating any additional or unnecessary trip hazards. This often happens when area rugs are too small or are not sized appropriately for a space. Using furniture and decor that is less delicate such as glass and fine ceramics.

Versatility: Being able to use a space in more than one capacity makes for a fully optimized family friendly area. Often living spaces are used more when they are versatile. Having a coffee table that can be used as a game table. An ottoman that can be used as a coffee table.

Comfort: A space that is comfortable by default people come back for more! Comfort is the icing on the cake. When all the needs are met for a space to be family friendly, having the comfort to relax and enjoy the people you love is so sweet! Comfortable seating, throws and pillows are elements that layer the space in luxury to your sensory of touch.
